Our History
The Nowah Kolleh Foundation was founded by Mrs. Mailina Lea Forkpa, a passionate advocate for making a difference in the lives of others. From her childhood, Mrs. Forkpa has been driven by a deep sense of empathy, seeing others as an extension of herself and appreciating the opportunities she has received. This passion led her to personally provide scholarships to over 20 students in Liberia and financial assistance to more than 10 women and 5 men, helping them start businesses or pursue vocational training. Moreover, she has distributed Christmas presents and sanitary products to girls and women in need, creating lasting, positive change in their lives. In partnership with the Christian organization Rainbow Youthfire, the foundation has worked tirelessly to address societal challenges and improve the lives of many. Together, we are committed to alleviating the struggles of those who have been forgotten or overlooked, providing them with the resources, support, and hope needed to build a better future. Through these efforts, the Nowah Kolleh Foundation continues to inspire transformation and uplift communities in meaningful ways.
Mission Statement
The Nowah Kolleh Foundation strives towards helping society through philanthropic means, which includes the establishment of an orphanage home, caring for the less privileged youths through scholarship schemes and grants, entrepreneur training for adolescent and teenage youths, and assistance to single mothers and less privileged.
